Web Summit 2023 – Lisbon

Throwback to one of the best weeks of my life so far!

Many years ago, I remember sitting at my desktop computer with Windows XP, receiving emails about an event that seemed too good to be true. At that time, in the middle of all the web and email scams that was happening, I couldn’t imagine the possibility of attending such an event and dismissed it as another online hoax.

Fast forward to the present, as I look back at the risks I took to start a company during the darkest years of my life, attending Web Summit felt like an insane achievement. For those who may not know, Web Summit is one of the largest tech summits that brings together the global tech industry to discuss the latest in technology, business, and innovation.

The event spanned across four days, and during my week-long stay in Lisbon, I fell in love with the city. Being inside the summit itself was an electrifying experience. The energy, the diverse crowd from the tech industry worldwide, and the discussions about the future of tech and business were truly indescribable.

What I loved most about the summit was the unparalleled access it provided. I had the opportunity to connect with developers, investors, and enthusiasts all in one place. Meeting people from all over the world and speaking with representatives from major technology brands that I’ve admired and used for years was amazing. Engaging with a wide range of startups was a one of a kind experience, realising how accessible the entrepreneur landscape in Europe is. It was far beyond my initial expectations.

Throughout the entire experience, I couldn’t help but dream of returning to the Web Summit, but from the other side of the stage.

Over the next couple of days, I look forward to sharing a little more about some of the amazing businesses I had the chance to connect with.

The price per 1M tokens keeps dropping, which means you can do a lot more for a lot less. So the old excuse of 'I don't have the budget to use AI in my business' is quickly disappearing.

Day 4 of 31: When the Day Slips Off Track

Some Sundays move at their own slow pace, and yesterday was one of them. I went into the weekend feeling excited to refactor a piece of code that’s been bothering me for weeks. But by Sunday evening, the work was still unfinished and instead of accepting that, I spent way too much time complaining to
