From Small to Large

So im back here writing a blog post. lot has changed in life which im not planing to go through. however it has been hard for me to find time to do anything other than office related work in the past couple of years. It was a bit late when i realise that i had lost work / life balance but it’s never too late for anything rite? So here i am, trying to balance my work and life.

So what has changed?

Started working at this new company! It has been a straight 6 years in my last company. So much work, dedications, late night codings, and lot more experiences. no complaints for the work, that 6 year has helped me to be the person i am now. both technical and professional experience.

But there’s always more that you are missing. And i only realised it after moving out.

I’m not gonna write a list of negative points of my old company which i think is a bad thing to do to. Instead let me write what i find interesting in the new one 🙂

Resources

Yes! Resources. From fast internet, high end MAC’s and PC’s, Better softwares with paid licences, to the tea or coffee machines which you can get your self boosted at any time to even the proper tissues and toilet papers in place for better hygine. Its all about resources.

Working Environment

This is the most important reason that can decide if you love or hate your work. Forget the resources, or other benefits, if you have the proper environment around you, you can still hold up. and when its not there, you will be counting days to get out. This includes everything from the people around you, people you are working with, the work you are doing, even the desk you are working. The more perfect the things in your environment are, the more perfect you will feel at work.

A Better HR

You might think this is not necessary, or that you are better off without it ( no tracking of times or leaves 😛 ) but the truth is, you need to have a proper HR. it can reduce many complications that might arise between employees. lots of them! and it will help you have proper time ethics which will help you have work and life balance as an added bonus.

Better Learning Curve

Yes another very important one. It’s not always about how long have you been working on how long you have been doing the same thing for. The world is moving, tech is improving and you are outdating. You need to get updated and keep up the speed with the work. But while you spend more than 40 hours per week at your work place, its really hard for any of us to find time to learn new things.

According to what i think, the most important thing in your career is, you should know the right time to move out to a new journey. which could be from an year or 6 to 10 years. you should know.

Not Using AI Is a Choice, No more excuses

Frontier AI companies like OpenAI and Anthropic are competing hard, while open source models are catching up fast. This competition is driving costs down. The price per 1M tokens keeps dropping, which means you can do a lot more for a lot less. So the old excuse of 'I don't have the budget to use AI in my business' is quickly disappearing.

Day 5 of 31: Connections and Caffeine

The first Monday of the new year always feels like a reset button. For our service company, yesterday marked the official restart, and as expected, it was a busy one. The day was filled with catch-ups, follow-ups, and lots of reconnecting with clients who had patiently waited for us to get back into full swing.

Day 4 of 31: When the Day Slips Off Track

Some Sundays move at their own slow pace, and yesterday was one of them. I went into the weekend feeling excited to refactor a piece of code that’s been bothering me for weeks. But by Sunday evening, the work was still unfinished and instead of accepting that, I spent way too much time complaining to
