Can isolation bring more productivity? I’m going to try that out my self.

I’m finally doing something I’ve been looking forward to doing for a long time.

I wanted to isolate myself from as many distractions as possible and focus on things that I don’t usually get enough time or priority over my day-to-day responsibilities which include a long overdue backlog of items related to both the growth of the Company & Myself.

My Solution?
I booked a flight, Booked an Apartment, packed the bare minimum of things to survive for a couple of weeks, and moved into isolation.

I decided to blog about the process, hoping it would help or motivate someone else to do the same.

Over the last 4+ years, TeamUp had a slow, but steady growth. We’ve been making great long-term business connections and relationships as well as cutting ties away from some of the toxic partnerships with great financial losses. But it was worth all the lessons we learned along the way.

I believe slow growth for a company is better and more stable than taking off with a fast burn and running out of fuel in mid-air after a couple of years. I’ve seen this happening to many startups over the years.

However, I’ve spent most of my days working with my teams to run the daily operations to make sure we keep our deliveries and promises to our clients with the highest quality. But that also leaves me with limited time to shift my focus into planning for company growth, which I’ve been focusing on what happens next week or month rather than the next six months.

I wanted to change this!

My main issue right now is that I have a huge backlog of things I need to focus on and get done so I could start planning and setting up long-term goals for the next few years.

While I may not be able to be completely away from my day-to-day operations right now, I do want to use the time I save from fewer distractions to start focusing on the things that matter.

Preferably also form a few new productive habits along the way when I go back.

Let me know what you think or what different approach you would take for a similar situation.

Stay tuned for updates.

Not Using AI Is a Choice, No more excuses

The price per 1M tokens keeps dropping, which means you can do a lot more for a lot less. So the old excuse of 'I don't have the budget to use AI in my business' is quickly disappearing.

The first Monday of the new year always feels like a reset button. For our service company, yesterday marked the official restart, and as expected, it was a busy one. The day was filled with catch-ups, follow-ups, and lots of reconnecting with clients who had patiently waited for us to get back into full swing.

Day 4 of 31: When the Day Slips Off Track

Some Sundays move at their own slow pace, and yesterday was one of them. I went into the weekend feeling excited to refactor a piece of code that’s been bothering me for weeks. But by Sunday evening, the work was still unfinished and instead of accepting that, I spent way too much time complaining to
