A Weekday Escape: Making It Possible

A couple of weeks back, one of my good friends Satyajit Morais came all the way to visit me here in Italy.

We first met 7 years ago, back when I was just starting my company. It was in a co-working space, where he was also renting a space. Something clicked and our vibes matched, both personally and professionally, and that connection grew into a strong friendship that’s lasted all these years, even across two different countries.

It was wonderful to have him visit, and what made it even more special was being able to dedicate an entire day in the middle of the week just for him. This moment reminded me of why I started TeamUp in the first place: to rethink how people work and create a space where flexibility isn’t a perk but a right.

The freedom I had to step away for a day is the same freedom everyone at TeamUp enjoys. My team has the same flexibility as I do, no exceptions, no double standards. Work-life balance is not just a word for us; it’s the foundation that the company is built on.

Moments like this inspire me to keep building a business where people don’t have to choose between their personal lives and their careers. You can find that balance, and it’s not necessary to choose one over the other.

I hope I can make a positive impact on more lives, demonstrating that it’s possible to achieve a harmonious balance between work and personal life, proving that it’s not necessary to choose one over the other.

Some Sundays move at their own slow pace, and yesterday was one of them. I went into the weekend feeling excited to refactor a piece of code that’s been bothering me for weeks. But by Sunday evening, the work was still unfinished and instead of accepting that, I spent way too much time complaining to
